What a brilliant way to end the year. After months of training, so many jitsuka's are heading home for Christmas with a new, well-earned belt. Special congratulations to our two new Brown Belts, who can now start teaching our wonderful art to new clubs.
As we come to the end of another remarkable year at the Jiu Jitsu Foundation, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Whether you're a long-standing Jitsuka, a new white (or yellow, hopefully) belt finding your feet, a dedicated instructor, a supportive parent or one of the many volunteers who make our community so special, thank you so much for your contributions. You've each helped fill the year with growth, resilience, and genuine martial spirit.
This year our Foundation has continued to thrive not just on the mats, but as a community. We've welcomed new members, celebrated impressive grading successes, hosted inspiring events, watched confidence grow and friendships form. These achievements are thanks to your hard work, honesty, discipline and commitment to the values that Jiu Jitsu instils, both on and off the mat. I would also like to thank every instructor, up and down the country. Your dedication to teaching safe, effective and empowering Jitsu, while nurturing an inclusive and respectful environment, is the core of our Foundation. Thank you for your passion, professionalism, and care.
As we look to 2026, we are excited to continue developing opportunities for learning, training, personal growth and bigger & better events. For now, I encourage everyone to take time over this festive period to rest, recharge and enjoy the company of your friends and family. The holiday season is a reminder of the importance of community, a value that lies at the heart of everything we do.
On behalf of the Leadership and Management Boards at the Jiu Jitsu Foundation, I wish you a peaceful Christmas and a joyful, healthy and fulfilling New Year. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
